Edmonton Oilers eliminate Calgary Flames from playoffs

The Edmonton Oilers advanced to the Western Conference Final with a 5-4 overtime win over the Calgary Flames in Game 5 of their second-round NHL playoff series Thursday night.
Flames eliminated
The Oilers won the series 4-1. They will face the winner of the Colorado Avalanche-St. Louis Blues series in the Western Conference Final. The Avalanche lead that series 3-2.
Nugent-Hopkins leads the way
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins had a goal and two assists for the Oilers, while Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl each had a goal and an assist. Evan Bouchard and Zach Hyman also scored for Edmonton.
