Ahead of his highly anticipated fight against Devin Haney, Ryan Garcia weighed in at 143.2lbs, significantly over the championship limit of 135lbs. This violation resulted in Garcia forfeiting $1.5M of his purse to Haney.
As a consequence of the missed weight, Garcia will not be eligible for the 135lb super lightweight rating.
