Mauricio Roberto Pochettino Trossero was born on March 2, 1972, in Murphy, Argentina. As a professional football player, he played as a defender for several clubs in Argentina, France, Spain, and England.

Managerial Career

After retiring from playing, Pochettino began his managerial career in 2009 with Espanyol in Spain. He then moved to Southampton in England in 2013, where he gained recognition for leading the team to impressive results in the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur

In 2014, Pochettino was appointed manager of Tottenham Hotspur. During his five-and-a-half-year tenure, he transformed the team into a top-four contender in the Premier League. He guided Tottenham to the 2019 Champions League final, where they finished as runners-up.

Paris Saint-Germain

In January 2021, Pochettino was appointed manager of Paris Saint-Germain in France. He led the team to the Ligue 1 title in his first season but was dismissed in July 2022 due to disappointing performances in the Champions League.

Chelsea

On May 21, 2024, Chelsea Football Club announced the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager. He joins after the club parted ways with the previous manager, Thomas Tuchel. Pochettino's goal is to rebuild the team and challenge for trophies in both the Premier League and European competitions.
