Kobe Bryant's historic playoff run continued in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals as he led the Los Angeles Lakers to a 111-87 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Bryant, who scored 28 points in the first half, finished the game with 39 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists. He was 11-of-22 from the field and 15-of-16 from the free throw line.
The Lakers were never seriously threatened by the Cavaliers, who were led by LeBron James' 25 points. The Lakers led by 18 points at the end of the first quarter and never looked back.
Bryant's performance was all the more impressive given that he was playing on a sprained ankle. He injured his ankle in the Lakers' Game 5 victory, but he played through the pain to help his team clinch a berth in the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Lakers will now face the Boston Celtics in the Conference Finals, which begin on Tuesday night. The Celtics defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in six games in the other Eastern Conference Semifinals series.
