Minnie Driver Joins DC Animated Universe as Oswald Cobblepot

"Batman: Caped Crusader" Casts Oscar-Nominated Actress

Minnie Driver to Voice Female Version of The Penguin

Prime Video announced at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday that Oscar-nominated actress Minnie Driver ("Our Flag Means Death," "Good Will Hunting") has joined the voice cast of the upcoming animated series "Batman: Caped Crusader." Driver will voice Oswalda Cobblepot, a female interpretation of the iconic Batman villain The Penguin, originally created by Bob Kane and Bruce Timm.

Alongside Driver, the series features an impressive ensemble cast, including Hamish Linklater as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Mckenna Grace as Batgirl, and Toby Stephens as Two-Face. "Batman: Caped Crusader" is being developed by J.J. Abrams, Matt Reeves, and Ed Brubaker, who previously worked on the critically acclaimed animated series "Batman: The Animated Series."

In a year without any live-action Batman films scheduled for release, "Batman: Caped Crusader" and its unique take on Gotham's criminal underworld promises to offer fans a thrilling and refreshing perspective on the beloved franchise.
